France – E-Invoicing Obligation Extended

From 1st January 2020, sending paperless invoices via the Chorus Pro portal becomes mandatory for very small companies (less than 10 employees) and public sector suppliers (the state, local authorities, hospitals, public establishments, etc.).

This provision has already been in place since January for SMEs (10 to 250 employees), since 2018 for medium-sized companies (250 to 5,000 employees) and since 2017 for those with over 5,000 employees.

The Chorus Pro Internet portal made available by the French government makes the sending of paperess invoices to public sector customers easy, secure and free.
